My passion for music was deeply influenced by my parents, both of whom were professional singers. At the age of six, I became my father’s tape machine operator, managing his Webcor recorder, a device he acquired in 1955.
From the ages of 12 to 20, I played drums in various groups on Long Island and in Manhattan. However, I quickly realized that my true strengths were behind the scenes, capturing performances on tape.
Inheriting a tenement building that had been in my family for four generations equipped me with valuable skills in construction and repair. Motivated by a desire to advance my recording career, I transformed part of this space into my first recording room.
As I delved deeper into this work, I recognized it as my true calling, leading me to commit fully to this field.
